About Us

Sun Country Sales was founded over 25 years ago in Greenwood Village, Colorado. It’s here, in this Denver suburb, that we opened, offering quality sunscreens and hand warmers to outdoor enthusiasts. Our name was inspired by the nearly 300 days of sun we get here in Greenwood Village.

 

Our founders name is Gary Palmer. He started Sun Country Sales in 1998 and ran it along with his wife, Elaine, for years. Gary loved the outdoors, the mountains especially, and wanted to offer products that would help others enjoy their outside endeavors. This is when we started offering quality products to help with altitude sickness. Altitude Adjustment©  was brought on to our product line over 20 years ago. It is an all-natural supplement that helps people who are suffering from Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or Altitude Sickness.

 

In 2004, Gary and Elaine’s son, Joel, began working in the family business. Over the next 19 years we continue to grow and strive to meet our company’s mission of helping people enjoy the outdoors.
